Kruispoort bridge in Bruges has been removed and placed on a pontoon

In Bruges, the Kruispoort bridge was taken out and transported away on Sunday morning. The bridge has been in breakdown since Thursday. Shipping traffic has since come to a standstill on the Ringvaart.

The bridge weighs no less than 54 tons. They lifted two heavy cranes around 10 am on Sunday morning and placed them on a pontoon.
